What do you want? What? Too many people/teams jump to solutions before defining what the problem is that they are trying to solve. Worse yet they haven't clearly defined the outcome that they are seeking. This leads to lost energy, frustration, and starting the process all over again.
Start with this question. Why am I doing this? Get a crystal clear picture of the person you want to hire or what it will look like once you have solved this problem. Maybe even create a vision board. It is not good enough to move away from pain, we have to move to a real destination.
Years went by where my mom talked about selling her home and ultimately never did. She didn't have a clear picture of where she wanted to be. If your team struggles with one of these areas, I might be able to help.
